In a paperless world, you might think identity theft would run rampant. But it's really not that bad. With so many banks, credit card companies and stores going totally electronic, they've all taken steps to increase online security and help prevent identity theft.

Have you ever been a victim of identity theft or know someone who has? If so, you realize full well what a royal pain in the backside it is, and the damage that was done to your reputation and your credit report will take years to resolve.

There are many different reasons as to why you should get yourself identity theft books, and the most obvious is so that you can learn about identity theft in general and so that you can protect yourself from being an identity theft victim as much as you possibly can. There are so many different identity theft books out there, and you want to make sure that you get as many as you can so that you can be as informed as you possibly can.

Identity theft is one of the most troubling problems of the modern world. Although it is hard to come by good identity theft statistics, one thing is clear. Credit card theft and other forms of theft of identity are on the rise. If this was not troubling enough, consider the fact that you never know when your identity is being stolen. You will only find out days, weeks, or even months later. It is almost impossible to prevent identity theft. At best, all you can do is take steps to make it easier to recover your identity.

I can't say that all men are thick, but I can say that about my husband. No matter what it is that I try to tell him, he has to find out the hard way. Whether it comes down to our car being towed for an unpaid ticket, or perhaps learning that viruses are very easy to get on your computer, for some reason he refuses to listen to me until it happens. One thing that I am very worried about is identity theft, and he has yet to take me seriously. This is something that is even more important than parking tickets or computer viruses. This could ruin us for life.
